Flotation

	The Poly Flange® flotation is a high density, high molecular weight, one piece, no seam polyethylene case housing that provides consistent .15 wall thickness. This highly accurate blow molding process is so unique that it is patented. Unlike conventional rotary molded flotation, The Poly Flange® allows an almost infinite arrangement of contact connection points without compromise to the expanded polystyrene foam core. In addition, this flotation incorporates a one-way membrane valve to allow venting with no water penetration. This flotation is high quality, versatile and made of recycled materials.
	Sound Marine® includes in the design criteria of each floating dock system - buoyancy compensation, which ensures uniform freeboard at all areas of predetermined dead load(s) eliminating long term stress to the system. Our continuous flotation coverage enhances the appearance of the project while decreasing deflection under live load(s) The end result is a firm, stable floating dock system that will exceed your expectations. The Poly Flange® float meets or exceeds all Army Corps of Engineers and EPA requirements, with high marks in the Hunt Absorption test.
